Pat Dam Smyth’s life has taken him down many winding lanes, including performing with Paul Weller and Mick Jones, touring with the Smokey Angle Shades and busking on some of Europe’s most famous streets for spare change.
His first album as a solo artist The Great Divide, released last year, received rave reviews with searing songs of love, life and death. His star is definitely on the rise and is viewed as one of Northern Ireland’s most exciting singers/songwriters.
His charismatic performances and stage presence will make for a great set during On Your Bike. Pat will add a few interesting covers on the day, a rare chance to hear some of his eclectic influences.
He is also taking part in this year’s Ulster Bank Festival at Queen’s, when he will record a live album in front of an audience at the Oh Yeah Music Centre on 15th October.

Stephen Hall and the Moon Shed consists of Stephen, Rohan Young - Bodhran, Barry Tipping - Guitar and Michael Sands - Banjo.
They kick up a great sound along with original songs and a warm vibe. With gigs atThe Black Box, Belfast and 4 appearances on The Gerry Anderson Show, BBC Radio Foyle/Radio Ulster in 2010/2011, this unique blend of music is making waves. Listeners seemed to take to Stephen’s quirky humour and the more heart felt content of his songs, such as ‘The Lang Staine”, which was often requested.
Along with tracks such as “The Wee Wee Man”, “Biscuits” and “Get Yer Pig On”, Stephen became rapidly appreciated, first appearing live on Gerry’s show (with friends John McKeever and Barry Tipping) in May 2010.
With the release of his 21 track CD “Songs from the Moon Shed” the need came to play live and so he formed “Stephen Hall and The Moon Shed”
